We are delighted to announce the winner of our 2024 NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence on Achieving the Tobacco Endgame Early-Mid Career Researcher Awards: Dr Ara Cho!
The Tobacco Endgame CRE acknowledges the critical contributions that early- and mid-career researchers make to fulfilling our mission of advancing the evidence base for interventions that can contribute to ending the tobacco smoking epidemic in Australia and globally.
Postdoctoral Research Fellow Dr Ara Cho has been recognised for her outstanding leadership and her excellent publication The effect of tobacco tax increase on price‐minimizing tobacco purchasing behaviours: A systematic review and meta-analysis, published in the journal Addiction.
The 'Outstanding Leadership' award recognises excellence in leadership (e.g. supervision, mentoring, contributing to committees, or any other form of leadership).
The 'Best Publication' award recognises excellence in contributing to the publication of an article with exemplary methodological rigour, significance, impact and/or contribution to/advancement of the field.
