Researcher biography

Nathan is a public health and implementation science student. He commenced a PhD focused on ‘smoking cessation, lung cancer screening, and stigma’ in June 2022 at Flinders University, where he also is a Senior Research Officer in the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) and holds Academic Status in the College of Medicine and Public Health. Nathan has previously held research roles in the education sector and a range of academic settings, including as Behavioural Scientist in the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute’s Health Policy Centre, where he contributed to South Australian Government-funded tobacco control monitoring research and anti-smoking mass media evaluation. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours, First Class) degree.
