Dr Hollie Bendotti
Researcher biography
Hollie is a postdoctoral research fellow at the UQ School of Public Health and Thoracic Research Centre (The Prince Charles Hospital), and has a clinical background as an Oral Health Therapist. She has research interests in smoking cessation, digital health, tobacco control and interprofessional collaboration for health promotion. Her thesis explored the use of conversational artificial intelligence to support smoking cessation, through which she led the co-design development of a chatbot named Quin which was grounded in Quitline counselling conversations. Her current research extends this work to enhance and evaluate Quin, and also includes smoking cessation interventions for people undergoing lung cancer screening, and investigating the tobacco retail environment in Queensland.
