Dr Driss Ait Ouakrim
Researcher biography
Dr Driss Ait Ouakrim is an epidemiologist and Senior Research Fellow at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne, with a joint PhD from The University of Melbourne and Université Claude Bernard – Lyon 1, France. He has a multidisciplinary background in health economics and simulation modelling, along with extensive international experience in both academic research and applied health policy. From 2016 to 2020, Dr Ait Ouakrim served as a Senior Health Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He is currently the Deputy Head of the Population Interventions (PI) Unit and leads the tobacco policy simulation research program.
