Researcher biography

Professor Paul Scuffham is one of the leading and most productive health economists in Australia and is in the top 1% of scientists globally. He has more than 20 years' experience as a researcher and advisor to healthcare organisations in Australia, the United Kingdom and internationally. His research is focused on identifying the value for money of healthcare interventions, with a major emphasis on translation into health policy. He has published >450 articles in scientific journals, >115 commissioned reports, and his work has been cited more than 16,000 times. Professor Scuffham is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS), a member of their executive board and Chair of the Policy Advisory Committee. He established the Centre for Applied Health Economics (CAHE) at Griffith University and developed the Australian Chapter of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR-AC).
