Dr Henok Getachew Tegegn

Researcher biography
Dr Henok Tegegn is a public health policy researcher with a background in pharmacy. His expertise includes epidemiological studies, data analytics, choice modelling, and psychometrics focused on health outcomes, behavioural research, and health services with a particular focus on non-communicable diseases. Prior to his PhD study in Australia, Dr Tegegn worked a lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, University of Gondar, Ethiopia (2014-2018). He also collaborated with the Clinton Health Access Initiatives (CHAI) to improve access to cancer medicines and supported the Breast Cancer Treatment Decentralization Program in Ethiopia.
Dr Tegegn completed his PhD at the University of New England, where he served as a lecturer and unit coordinator in the Pharmacy Department. Recently, he joined the Centre for Applied Health Economics (CAHE), Menzies Health Institute Queensland, Griffith University, where he is working as a Research Fellow on tobacco control projects.
