Researcher biography
I am currently completing a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in the U.K. I am also part of the Social Prescribing Team at UCLan working on a project about adventure-based social prescribing and producing multiple outputs (e.g., conference posters, scoping reviews, and qualitative study). I have completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland in 2022. My honours thesis explored smoking uptake among young adults in treatment for early-onset psychosis, which was published in the International Journal of Mental Health Nursing. I completed my Bachelor of Health Science from the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra in 2021 where I wrote a manuscript about how science can be communicated through humour, the cultural meanings of science and ecological urgency, and the intersection of communication and health. This was published in the Journal of Science & Popular Culture.
